Patrol Commander
Captain Reggie Sanders
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division is under the supervision of Patrol Commander, Captain Reggie Sanders. The deputies of the Patrol Division are on duty 24/7 to respond to criminal activities and emergencies throughout Avoyelles Parish. The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to all types of criminal and emergency calls within our 866 square mile parish. The Patrol Division not only consist of Patrol Deputies, but also include our School Resource Officers, Warrants Division and Courthouse Security.
The Courthouse Security Deputies are assigned to the 12th Judicial District Courthouse. The Courthouse Security Deputies maintain security around the courthouse, as well as inside the courtrooms. The Courthouse Security Deputies are responsible for keeping order within the courtrooms, as well as taking defendants into custody on active warrants and court ordered detainment.

Warrants Supervisor
Deputy Gabby Ducote
The Warrants Division is supervised by Deputy Gabby Ducote and focuses on the administration and management of not only arrest warrants, but daily submitted reports and filing as well. The Warrants Division is responsible for all warrants submitted to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office from other agencies, as well as warrants generated by our deputies.

Sergeant Eric Overgaard
The School Resource Officers are located within the Avoyelles Parish public school system and are assigned to the schools to ensure a safe environment for the children and staff. The School Resource Officers are supervised by Sergeant Eric Overgaard. Sergeant Overgaard, as well as the other School Resource Officers, have established a great rapport with the children and staff. Many children have looked toward our School Resource Officers for guidance in the past, not only in personal matters, but also with career decisions and academic assistance.
