Payment of Fines
BY MAIL:
Postal Money orders are the only acceptable form of payment when paying by mail. Postal Money orders must be made payable to APSO or AVOYELLES PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE. When paying traffic citations by mail, please include the citation or a copy of the citation with the postal money order.
IN PERSON:
The Fines/Tax office is located at 675 Government Street, Marksville, LA 71351 and is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
When paying traffic citation, the citation, or a copy brought to the cashier, will greatly expedite the process. Traffic citations that have not yet been to court must be paid in full prior to the due date found near the bottom of the citation. Installment payments are not an option when attempting to pay fines prior to court.
When paying Criminal Court Fines, please present the docket number to the cashier as this will also expedite the process.
