Aggravated Assault Investigation Leads to Arrests for Illegal Drugs

On the night of March 3, 2023, The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged aggravated assault with a firearm.  Further investigation into the allegations by APSO Detectives resulted in an arrest warrant for the offenses of Criminal Mischief and Obstruction of Justice being issued by the 12th Judicial District Court for the arrest of 37-year-old Fredrick Camile Bradford of 329 Beryl Street in Cottonport, and search warrants for the residence at that address and a nearby area.

On March 10, 2023, APSO Detectives, Patrol Deputies, and K9 Unit arrested Bradford on said arrest warrants and executed the search warrants.  The searches resulted in the finding of a large quantity of Methamphetamines and Marijuana, which resulted in more charges against Bradford.

Fredrick Camile Bradford (aka Freddie Bradford) was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Schedule I With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Schedule II With Intent to Distribute.  He was booked into APSO DC-1 in Marksville.  His bond was set at $255,000.00.  He remains in custody at this time.

Sheriff David L. Dauzat would like to thank the dedicated professional law enforcement agents who work around the clock 24/7 to take illegal drugs off our streets, apprehend these offenders, and safely remove them from the streets of our Parish.
