Introduction of Contraband into APSO DC-1 Jail – Illegal Drugs found
On April 7, 2022, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) Deputies intercepted Controlled Dangerous Substances during the intake/booking process. A thorough search conducted by APSO Corrections Staff revealed that 28-year-old Justin Matthew Rachal of Moreauville, LA, concealed in the waistband of his sweat pants, had over 50 Ecstasy Pills and approximately 30 grams of Synthetic Marijuana. Rachal was being arrested and booked for a Probation/Parole violation, Domestic Abuse Battery Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment, and Resisting Arrest/Officer.
Further investigation by APSO Detectives led to the arrest of Rachal for the offenses of Possession of Schedule I Drugs with Intent to Distribute (2 counts), and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility. He was booked into APSO DC-1. The bond was set at $40,000.00. He is still incarcerated at APSO at this time.
