On March 21, 2022, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) Deputies intercepted Controlled Dangerous Substances being delivered to an offender incarcerated at APSO DC-1 Jail Facility.  A thorough search conducted by APSO Corrections Staff revealed that 59-year-old Pamela Slocum of Bunkie, LA attempted to deliver footwear with Suboxone, synthetic Marijuana, and suspected Roxicodone hidden in them.

Further investigation by APSO Deputies and Detectives led to a vehicle search in the APSO parking lot which resulted in locating suspected Marijuana, Methamphetamines, Cocaine, and drug paraphernalia being found within the suspect’s vehicle.

Slocum was arrested for the offenses of Possession of Schedule I Drugs, Possession of Schedule II Drugs, Possession of Schedule II Drugs with intent to distribute, Possession of Schedule III Drugs with intent to distribute, and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility.  She was booked into APSO DC-1.  Bond was set at $25,000.00.  On March 25, 2022, Slocum bonded out and was released.
