Traffic Stop Leads to an Arrest for Illegal Drugs and Paraphernalia

On March 31, 2022, while on criminal patrol, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) Patrol Deputies made a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of 34-year-old Jaleina Sherelle Dauzat of Marksville, LA for possession of Marijuana, Oxycodone, Methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia.

Jaleina Dauzat was arrested for the offenses of Possession of Schedule I, II, and IV Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Register a Vehicle, and Illegal Window Tint.  She was booked into APSO DC-1 in Marksville.  Her bond was set at $26,200.00.  Dauzat bonded out and was released that same day.

Sheriff David L. Dauzat remains committed to making Avoyelles Parish a safer place to live, work, and play. He would also like to thank the dedicated professional law enforcement agents who work around the clock 24/7 to take illegal drugs off our streets, apprehend these offenders, and safely remove them from the streets of our Parish.
